Turkey Will Announce Updated NDC at COP27

Mehmet Emin Birpınar, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, said that in addition to Turkey's climate action plan, the date when emissions peak will be announced at COP27.

Mehmet Emin Birpınar, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, met with NGOs, the business world, and academia at the Turkish pavilion at the ongoing COP27 in Egypt and said that Turkey will announce its updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) at COP27. Birpınar stated that Minister Murat Kurum would make the statement and said, "We will also announce the date when emissions will peak." Birpınar did not provide details on the NDC and when emissions will peak.
